Dr. Reba Renee' Pennywell

I affirm the historic Christian faith and believe that theology must be lived out in the everyday realities of ministry. I hold to the Triune God, the authority of Scripture, and the centrality of Christ’s redemptive work. My understanding of the Doctrine of God, theological anthropology, and ecclesiology shapes my commitment to form disciples who can integrate biblical truth with lived experience.

I value marriage, baptism, discipleship, evangelism, justice, and compassion as essential expressions of Christian faith. My work in urban ministry has taught me that theology must address real human needs and social realities with clarity, courage, and hope. I seek to prepare disciples who think theologically, serve compassionately, and engage their communities with wisdom and integrity.

Dr. Reba Renee’ Pennywell holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from George Fox University in partnership with Jakes Divinity School, with a concentration in Spirit‑Filled Global Leadership in the African Diaspora. She also earned a Master of Arts in Theology through Vanguard University in collaboration with Jakes Divinity School, where her studies focused on Biblical Studies and leadership development.

She currently serves as an educator at a local school, where she integrates academic excellence, spiritual insight, and compassionate leadership into her teaching practice. In addition to her academic work, Dr. Pennywell is a licensed minister who volunteers at her local church, offering weekly prayer, spiritual guidance, and community support while actively participating in outreach initiatives.   She is also soon to be ordained as an Elder in June 2026, a milestone that reflects her deep commitment to ministry, discipleship, and pastoral leadership. 

Dr. Pennywell is the founder of Reba Pennywell Ministries, which hosts an ongoing virtual Bible study dedicated to spiritual formation and discipleship. She is also the founder of Reba Renee Cares, a community organization that has championed humanitarian efforts and empowerment initiatives for more than ten years. 

 Across every role — educator, minister, mentor, and community leader — Dr. Pennywell is committed to forming disciples, strengthening communities, and helping individuals grow spiritually, emotionally, and personally.
